What I do:

I assist small business owners in maintaining accurate financial records, fostering profitability and growth. Bookkeeping and interpretation of financial reports are essential for informed decision making. Having worked as a support agent for Quickbooks for years, I understand the needs of entrepreneurs and was inspired by them to start my own bookkeeping business. Who I Work With

Although I work with a variety of small businesses, most of my clients are in construction and the skilled trades — general contractors, remodelers, electricians, plumbers, HVAC companies, and other trade businesses. It’s a niche I know well, and frankly, it’s where I do my best work.

The books in this world have their own quirks: job costing that tells you which projects actually made money, specialized reports, subcontractor payments, materials and equipment costs spread across multiple jobs, and cash flow. I keep all of it tidy and organized, so you always know where each project stands — and you can focus on doing the work instead of the paperwork.

My interest in this group of clients started with one general construction contractor I had for a couple of years. I learned quite a bit about this niche, through both structured study, and trial and error.

Origins

How I got Started:

For approximately 6 years before starting this business, I was a support agent for customers who were using Intuit products to help run their business. I’m experienced with Quickbooks Online and Desktop products. One of the things that I quickly learned was how much I enjoyed working with small business owners. I like their vision, drive, and determination. They inspired me to become one myself! As working with entrepreneurs was my favorite part of my time with Intuit, my own bookkeeping business was the next logical step.
